1045 HITS
I am very pleased to anounce that Gamerztheatre.com will now be helping and supporting any gamer made or game related production. The first production that we wish to get behind is Metal Gear Solid - Philanthropy - which is a fan made movie, made by Hive Division, this production is totaly being financed by themselves and other fans of MGS.
The media frenzy was stirred at the launch of this trailer, showcasing this new side of the Philanthropy project is finally settling down, this is giving Hive Division a good chance to do the math and savour the enthusiastic feedback gathered worldwide. The trailer amased some 500.000 hits on YouTube and more on Stage 6, various features on Corriere.it0, TGCom, Official PlayStation Magazine (UK), and Rolling Stone gave the project just the lift and encouragement the production team needed.

406 HITS
Hello everyone, I have another quick and maybe unexpected update.
Yesterday we locked SoF. This means the rough cut of the movie has been
finished. I already shipped it to Justin (virtually of course) so he
can start scoring. This leaves us with the soundfx and tweaking part of
the visuals for the remaining time.
But finally we have reached
the next step in post-production. For the next couple of months we will
focus on the sound design and you all know what that means, right? :)
Anyway,
I'll keep you informed on the progress and for the time being... here's
a little tease. Oh and don't forget to post those wallpapers for the
contest, there's still plenty of time left! Check the forum for details.

825 HITS
Finally, after months of preparation we released a new website. And with the launch of the site we also created a new forum dedicated to the production of SoF.
The places to be... (don't forget to update your bookmarks)
SoF SITE -> http://www.sandsoffire.com
SoF FORUM -> http://forum.sandsoffire.com
The forum features some indepth information about Little_donkey and me. I think many of you will find it interesting to read about our past and present projects. There are also specific threads for questions, opinions and fan related stuff. I'd really appreciate it if you guys would register and introduce yourself to the SoF community (that's what it is made for afterall). In the future I will also add new information, post some behind-the-scenes stuff and other goodies you guys definitely don't want to miss.
And to celebrate the launch of these sites I have prepared a competition. That's right, there will be a wallpaper contest starting 1st of March running till April 30th with interesting prizes to win...

For my next Battlefield 2 movie, I am keeping a diary ( renders & tests ) of the film. Here I put together a little shot in the movie in tutorial format, from its storyboard beginning to final test render.
3d stuff I'm doing is done 100%. Story 100
%. Script 60 %. BF2 footage 60 %. Sound I'm leaving till last.I have the music I
want say 30% including SFX.
I am looking at a summer release

444 HITS It's time for the december update. Last month has been very productive
in means of compositing. Donkey is halfway the process of finishing the
last scenes of the movie and I'm currently halfway the 6 min scenes I
talked about last month. So we've definitely made a good progress. Our
goal is to finish a rough composited version by the end of this year so
this leaves us with another 3/4 weeks. It'll be hard because the
christmas holiday is around the corner. But on the other hand we are
highly motivated because Justin will be working on the music starting
beginning of next year. So we really need to get it locked down.
Where
do we go from there? First thing we'll do is tweaking and fixing the
compositing into a final version. We really feel that the visuals need
to be finally ready. This will take us probably the first 2/3 months of
2008. In that time we will also start preparing for the final soundmix.
We will need another few months for this to be completed. And this
brings me down to the results of last months poll.
