There sure is! If you go to Cocuments and SettingsYOUR NAMEMy DocumentsBattlefield 2Profiles. In there will be folders like "0001", "0002", etc..depending on how many user accounts you have, I have 5. One for my "online" account, one is my one sons "online" account, one is a beta testing "offline" account, one my "offline" playing account and lastly an "offline" account for movie/photography making. In the account you want there will be a file name video.con, right-click that file and open with Notepad. Change what you want and then save but first remember to make a backup copy just in case something goes wrong.

Now go to Cocuments and SettingsGerhartMy DocumentsBattlefield 2modsbf2cache (of course yours won't be Gerhart, lol) and delete the folder inside the cache folder. Remember inside the cache folder ok? It will be a folder that has something like this {D7B71E3E-43B5-11CF-8962-AF3F03C2CB35}_2965_3

You then fire up your game,load a map and it will create another folder like the one you just deleted...for the shaders and junk like that. If you don't delete that folder you may end up with some funky looking things in game.

Hacking?!?! That doesn't make any sense really because this is not a hack at all. You asked if there was a way to change your video settings without loading up the game and it is explained as simple as I could do it. You can also change audio, control settings and more by doing this. By using my tutorial method you are also able to change vehicle spawns, soldier load outs among much more. I was merely trying to help that's all sorry you think differently.

Gerhart knows what he is talking about R_C .. if this is how he advises you to do it, it will be safe and not a hack as you call it. You however have to carry out EVERY step he advises otherwise you may end up in trouble.

If in doubt .. before you try the Gerhart method .. set up a SYSTEM RESTORE on you pc that way you can reset everything at the click of a switch.

lol, I used Gerhart's way... just didnt make the backups and had to reinstall 8)
