Here is another Half-Life 2 machinima music video. This time I used the song In The End by Linkin Park. I didn't do any skin editing in this one, but I did do a lot of face poser and camera work that I hope you like. It was made for the Molotov Alva contest on machinima.com but I didn't place in the top 3 unfortunately, but at least I have it to share with everyone. I hope you enjoy it! Hellraiser Ravenholm
This is a machinima inspired by the Hellraiser movies (based on the book the Hellbound Heart by Clive Barker). I used sound samples from both Hellbound and Hellseeker. I did the best I could to edit the models look like the the movies by just editing the skins, since I haven't learned to edit the base models yet. I used Doctor Breen as Pinhead incase it isn't obvious, and the bottom half of a milk carton for the Lament Configuration. I did all of the capturing, custom textures, sound and video editing myself in about 2 weeks time. I used Half-Life 2, faceposer, garry's mod 10, Photoshop 6, Premier 6, and Cool Edit Pro. This is my second machinima using Half-Life 2 source engine from Valve. It is another music video, this time using the Evanescence song My Immortal from the Fallen album. This one took 2 weeks to do, including all the material editing on Alyx and the citizen model plus some additional Photoshop work on the portraits. I used Faceposer for lip sync and Garry's Mod 10 for directing and capturing. Shadow of Death
This is a Half-Life 2 machinima set to a Marilyn Manson song. This is the first machinima I have done since one short ingame video from DAOC in 2003. I really enjoyed doing it, as the work flow is so much smoother and fun then doing things from scratch in a 3d animation program. I used Half-Life 2 and some of the tools that come with the SDK like faceposer for lip sync, plus Garry's Mod 10. I edited Barney's skin to look like he is wearing the kind of makeup that Marilyn might wear. It took me just a little over two weeks to capture and edit, including the learning curve for Faceposer and Garry's Mod thanks to some of the very informative information at the facepunchstudio forums. Piece of Korin
Machinima video made using Half-Life 2 face poser in the SDK kit and Garry's Mod. The Korin model was made by Nkinta. I used some of the skin textures made by Neojam, but I did a lot of editing to the skins for this. The song is by Britney Spears called Piece of Me on the Blackout album. I cut about 2 minutes out of the song to save my self about 3 weeks more work, sorry. I used maps in both half-life 2 and counter-strike. I hope you enjoy it! Want to know how to make super smooth flybys of levels? Here it is. I use Counter Strike Source but any Source programme should be roughly the same to use. OH and if you watch the final thing at the end and there are white numbers and lines in the way (presumably from when you were doing the smoothing), close the programme (ie, CSS) and load it up again, load up the video again and it will be back to normal. It seems hard, but split it into these steps; *Recording the clip *Setting up the smoothing *Doing the smoothing *Watching the final thing / recording it |
